RIBA London Award - Grade 2 Kensington Art Gallery Cromwell Place
Updated: May 13
We are delighted to learn that a Kaydee Project has been awarded a prestigious RIBA London Award. Cromwell Place, based in South Kensington, is the conversion of five Grade 2 listed townhouses. The project has provided a new home for international art exhibitions with offices and storage space for artists, gallerists, dealers and collectors.
Kaydee was contracted by Gilbert Ash Contractors, on behalf of principle clients South Kensington Estates. Kaydee managed the sourcing, manufacture, and installation of over 60 Shading Solutions including 28 Skylight blinds and 36 discreet and stylish SHADA 300s. The result was an appropriately updated listed building, brought up to modern standards whilst maintaining it's inherited character & charm.
This project is especially special for Kaydee as it shared this project with our sister company, Sayfa Systems. Sayfa provided height safety solutions for the gallery including a ladder for roof access, internal removable eyebolts for balcony access, and safety line for Roof Safety.
